Maalum is a limestone sinkhole in the south-east coral rag. Stairs lead to clear water used for a swim. The cave is cooler than the beach at noon.

Entry is ticketed. We add hotel pickup from Paje, Jambiani, or Stone Town. Kuza Cave is a similar stop if Maalum is full.
