Jozani-Chwaka Bay is the island’s groundwater forest. The Zanzibar red colobus lives here and nowhere else. A ranger walk finds troops in the trees, then a boardwalk through the mangrove.

The park sits on the road south from Stone Town toward Paje. It pairs cleanly with a spice farm or an east-coast cave.
