Changuu, called Prison Island, lies about 30 minutes by boat from Stone Town. The island held a quarantine station and a prison that was never fully used. Giant Aldabra tortoises live in a sanctuary on the island.
The beach and shallows are used for a swim or snorkel when the tide is right. Many guests pair this boat with Nakupenda on the same morning.
